Lucknow: A programme was organised at the institute to mark the 157th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the 122nd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Institute Director Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, along with doctors, officers and employees, paid floral tributes to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri and recalled their enduring contributions to the nation.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Bhatt said Gandhi’s life continues to inspire society through the values of truth, non-violence, service, cleanliness and humanity. He said Shastri’s life remains an exemplary model of simplicity, integrity, dedication to duty, discipline and service to the nation.

A “Special Cleanliness Drive” was also conducted across the institute premises. Doctors, officers and employees actively participated in the campaign and took a pledge to maintain cleanliness.
The programme highlighted that cleanliness, service and responsibility are the foundations of a healthy society and must be embraced as a daily responsibility rather than a one-day campaign. Participants also resolved to incorporate the ideals of Gandhi and Shastri into their conduct as a true tribute to the two national leaders.
